Primary Eyecare Network (PEN) was founded in 1984 by a small group of private optometrists and has grown to become the preeminent network in our industry. Those early members established a high level of support for independent optometry that has endured to this day.
PEN is committed to enhancing the independent professional optometrist's ability to compete in a rapidly changing eyecare marketplace. This includes providing favorable purchasing arrangements, business management and marketing support, quality educational programs for practitioners and staff, medical billing services and other support as requested by members.
All products, programs, and services have been developed in response to the needs of our members and the optometric community as a whole.
Our vendor panel is limited to the finest providers in the industry and includes those who support the ideals and goals of PEN members.
PEN is guided by an Advisory Board of member optometrists who are respected leaders in the profession. With their input and guidance, programs are continually upgraded to reflect the most current strategies and technologies available.
Products are continually updated to provide optometric practices with the most current information available.
